ABOUT
I'm a total geek & a 36-year-old Cape Townian kid-at-heart. I've got an incredible love for gaming, animals, travelling (although I'm late to this game), comics, books, novelty toys, anime, cartoons, fashion, photography, you name it. I love all aspects of design, from interior to the more architectural side.

Now for the nitty-gritty…
I have 15 years of industry experience working as a graphic designer for a variety of companies in various industry sectors. My experience has been quite all-rounded, from the very technical to the more conceptual and creative work, working on both digital and print platforms. I have worked in reproduction, packaging, FMCG, academic, as well as through-the-line marketing, producing all types of design work necessary, and never having missed a deadline to date *touch wood*.
My career has led me to be resilient and hard-working. Having had the opportunity to oversee two junior designers, mentoring and training them where possible, while working at Hisense, I am truly grateful. Gaining tons of experience across through-the-line media, working closely with brand and marketing managers, has led me to gain knowledge in various sectors. I've had the privilege of working closely with a senior designer while working at USB, and although I was her superior, we developed a good relationship, always bouncing ideas off each other.
Although the last 3 years have been challenging, with being unemployed, only having contract work, and finally finding permanent employment, I have to say I've persevered and come out stronger.
I am always eager to learn more and be better. I believe everyone should be given an opportunity to grow in skill, whether you're a senior or junior, you can always learn something from someone else.
My current employment is challenging, with a lot of deadlines on a constant basis I've handled high-pressure environments well. I look forward to the next challenge and would love to grow more as a designer and a person altogether.
